Takashi Kudo – Communications Director, teamLab (Japan)

After Kudo graduated Waseda University, he started working as an editor. He had worked at a publisher IDG Sweden in Stockholm for 4 years as Editor in Chief for a video game magazine. After returning to Japan, he started out his career as Branding Manager/Communications Director at teamLab.

Kudo now manages teamLab’s entire branding aspects while committing himself to a specific project that needs growth hacking.

Founded in 2001, teamLab is Tokyo-based art collective that navigates the confluence of art, science, technology, design and the natural world.

Bringing together artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects, teamLab uses digital technology to liberate art from the physical and transcend boundaries.

They recently opened the Mori Building Digital Art Museum: teamLab Borderless, in Tokyo. This 10,000 sqm space is brought to life with 520 computers and 470 projectors – and welcomed one million visitors in its first five months.

teamLab’s work is also held in the permanent collections of major International and Australian and galleries, including the National Gallery of Victoria.
