Katrina Sedgwick – Director & CEO, ACMI

Katrina Sedgwick has been the Director and CEO of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image since 2015. During this time she has established ACMI X, the first co-working space and accelerator in an Australian museum, and lead a vision for a major $40m renewal project for the institution, due to open early 2020. She has a particular interest in supporting cross disciplinary practice, and has an extensive background as a commissioner, creative producer, arts festival director and performer.

From 2012 – 14 she was Head of Arts for ABC TV, and between 2002 – 11 she was the founding Director/CEO of the biennial Adelaide Film Festival, and its Investment Fund, supporting a multi award winning slate Australian features, documentaries, shorts, cross platform and installation works. She was the Artistic Director for Adelaide Fringe 2002 and Come Out ’99, the Australian Festival for Young People and Special Events Producer for Robyn Archer’s 1998 and 2000 Adelaide Festival of Arts,. She is on the Creative State Advisory Board, and the board of Back to Back Theatre and the Australian Film Television & Radio School.
