Juanita Pope is the director of Not-for-profit Law at Justice Connect. She has straddled her involvement in the performing arts industry with her professional vacation as a lawyer for over 15 years. Juanita was a founding member of visual theatre company Peepshow Inc (2003-2013) and performed in and produced many of the company’s works. She was a director of Polyglot Theatre (2004-2007) and currently sits on the board of Melbourne Fringe. In her legal life, Juanita has practised in intellectual property at a corporate firm, worked as an associate and registrar in the Federal Court, and as an academic. Since 2010 she has worked at Justice Connect specialising in addressing the legal needs of charities and community organisations. She likes her art punchy.
