Jo Porter is a consultant in not-for-profit and commercial performing arts, focusing increasingly on outcomes which combine social justice, regional interests and the arts. Roles in Australia, UK and USA: Executive Producer of Malthouse Theatre, General Manager of a range of commercial theatre productions and head of creative development at Richard Frankel Productions in New York and Head of Business Development at Really Useful Group in London. Jo is working towards a Masters of Development Studies at the University of Melbourne, teaches Governance and Leadership in NIDA’s MFA in Cultural Leadership program and has guest-lectured in arts management at the University of Melbourne. Jo is very proud to be a past Board Member of Back to Back Theatre and now serves on the Board of Theatre Works. Recent and current clients include Paw Po; NORPA (Lismore), Theatre Works, Arena Theatre, the Centre for Contemporary Photography, City of Ballarat, Chamber Made , St Martins Youth Theatre and independent artists whose work focuses on social justice and diversity: Samara Hersch, JOF O’Farrell and Little Ones Theatre. Currently: Co-Producer of the inaugural Victorian 2018 Regional Centre for Culture.
